Two Special Wines to Try This Month
Come and try our exciting special wines of the month, the Barbera d’Alba 2007 and the Cascina Bongiovanni. Here’s why we think you’ll love them both:
- The Barbera d’Alba, Chianti’s popular cousin, is considered in Italy to be a true "wine of the people." This is a juicy wine, light in tannins with high acidity. There’s an herby undertone in this light-bodied Barbera, with spicy anise and cherry flavors rounded by hints of smoke. Try the Barbera d’Alba with our Costata di Maiale al funghi or the Battilarda.
- The Cascina Bongiovanni, a youthful, fruity wine with a rich fragrance, showcases the flavors of the Piedmont region. It’s perfect as a table wine, or for sipping over a insalata tenerezza. Try it as a complement to our Branzino alla Griglia. For a decadent treat, have our panna cotta and fresh berries with a glass of this light and lovely wine.
Whatever you’re in the mood for, we have a special glass of wine to complement your meal. If you’re in the Westlake Village, be sure to stop by Bellini Osteria for authentic Sicilian cuisine and fantastic Italian wine.
